Mail Drops

One of my favorite things about my PCT hike was getting the chance to come into towns and see all the other hikers and hear the latest updates from friends and family. The Colorado Trail is likely to have that same dynamic especially since I am starting earlier in the season and there may not be as many thru-hikers on the trail with me.

I would certainly love to hear from friends and family while I am out an have tried to make it easy for anyone to get in touch if the wish. That was one of my favorite things about my PCT trips was all the support I received from friends and family in both the form of letters and packages. While this trip may not be as long I certainly appreciate any updates while I am away.

Below I have put together a list of the towns I plan to resupply in and anyone can send a letter or package addressed to me to the local post offices along the way. I’ve composed a list of all the mail drops below. If you would like to send me some mail, please use First Class mail (which is the normal regular mail). Any packages must be sent though Priority Mail via the US Post Office otherwise they may get lost. However if you send a box please make sure that I do not have to sign for it.  Please recognize that the dates I have listed below are only tentative but if you can get it there a couple days earlier that would be best. To be safe I would send it a week before the date I'm due to arrive in town. I will keep the dates updated as I go.
